Open Positions:

As a member of our clean-out crew, you will be responsible first and foremost for always working safely with care, concern and diligence to ensure not only your own safety, but also the safety of all crew members. We focus on working smart, not taking any unnecessary risks while performing our normal day-to-day job responsibilities, which include:

  • The breaking-down and consolidation of items before loading
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • The removal of carpet, carpet pads and tack boards
  • Traveling to our clients location to remove furniture, trash and items for donation
  • Traveling to donation centers and transfer stations
  • Sweeping

A valid driver's license is a plus.

As a clean-out crew supervisor, responsibilities include all of the responsibilities of a clean-out crew member, as well as the following:

  • Job site communication and interaction with clients and/or client agents
  • Supervision of the clean-out crew for the round-trip travel from the Mass Junk office, to the job location, and back to the office
  • Ensuring the safety and protection of all crew members and the job site
  • Driving our Mass Junk vehicles, including landscape dump trucks and box trucks
  • Packing and transferring truck loads of donations items to donation centers
  • Packing and transferring truck loads of items to transfer stations
  • Clean-out crew morale
  • Damage prevention to client premises and items

A valid driver's license is a plus.

A service estimator role is focused on traveling to prospective client job sites, performing in-person walk-throughs of the client location, recording any/all information and details for the service request, and accurately estimating the service requirements (# of crew members needed, # of crew-hours to complete the request, and any other criteria or job costs for a successful project.) In most cases, service estimators take digital pictures of the entire service request location and required tasks. Service estimators are also responsible for calculating round-trip travel time and distance to and from the Mass Junk offices. They must provide all service request information to the clean-out crew supervisor prior to the job date, and/or travel with the clean-out crew to the service request location to provide a walk-through to the clean-out crew supervisor. The service estimator may periodically be required to drive Mass Junk trucks to and/or from service call locations.

Service estimators are often the first experience prospective clients have with Mass Junk. As such, in addition to being professional in both demeanor and appearance, the service estimator is required to posses excellent interpersonal relations skills including excelling communication skills and a positive, “can-do” attitude. A valid driver’s license and transportation are also required.
